Square Enix has announced that due to complications in production caused by the ongoing COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, there may be a shortage of physical copies of Final Fantasy VII (FF VII) Remake.
While SE is still moving forward with the planned global launch on Friday, April 10 “unforeseeable changes in the distribution and retail landscape” has made shortages “increasingly likely”.
- This is the best Final Fantasy game according to Japan (it’s not VII)
- Hands-On: Final Fantasy VII Remake lives up to the hype
In response, the developers are working with its partners and retailers to be able to provide enough copies of the game come April.
For now though, your best bet may be a digital copy.
