The beloved Persona series, boasting over 23.5 million copies sold globally, is bringing back one of its most cherished entries.

Personal 4 Revival isn’t just a simple port; it’s a retelling of Persona 4, inviting players to once again immerse themselves in a year of heartwarming adolescence tinged with intrigue and the occult in the seemingly tranquil rural town of Inaba.

The story of Persona 4 follows the Protagonist, who moves to the quiet rural town of Inaba, only to find himself embroiled in a series of bizarre murders linked to a mysterious “Midnight Channel.”

He and his new friends discover they can enter a “TV World” where they awaken to Personas, their inner selves manifested as powerful beings. Forming an investigation Team, they venture into this foggy alternate dimension to fight Shadows and rescue potential victims, all while uncovering the truth behind the killings and the secrets hidden within Inaba.

The world of Persona 4 extends beyond its core RPG with several distinct spin-off titles. These include the fighting game duology, Persona 4 Arena and Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, which directly continue the story by bringing together characters from both Persona 3 and 4 in a new fighting tournament within the TV World.

Additionally, the Persona Q series, comprising Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth and Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth, offers a dungeon-crawling RPG experience on the Nintendo 3DS, featuring chibi versions of characters from Persona 3, 4, and 5 who must navigate mysterious labyrinths.

Further diversifying the series is Persona 4: Dancing All Night, a rhythm game where the Investigation Team uses dance to combat Shadows in a post-Arena storyline.

Each of these spin-offs expand upon the beloved characters and lore of Persona 4. It remains to be seen how much of this extended world will be packaged in Persona 4 Revival.
