Diablo 4: Season of Witchcraft sends you on a quest to find some of the missing Heads of the Tree of Whispers, governed by a group of Coven from Hawezar.

In exchange for your help, the three members of the Coven will grant you these build-altering Witchcraft Powers that add new ways to play Diablo 4 in Season of Witchcraft.

There are over 25 Witchcraft Powers in Diablo 4 Season of Witchcraft, and in this guide, we highlight all these new exciting abilities.

Diablo 4 Witchcraft Powers explained

As mentioned above, there are 25 Witchcraft Powers in Diablo 4, and they are all part of four distinct schools of Witchcrafts.

These are – Eldritch, Psyche, Growth & Decay, and Lost.

Eldritch powers are offensive abilities that deal direct damage to enemies in the form of fire damage, burning damage, and shadow damage.

One of the Eldritch powers is called Doom Orb, which circles you and deals fire damage to nearby enemies. What’s unique about this ability, however, is that it gets stronger with every enemy you slay and will eventually explode and deal AOE damage.

If there are no nearby enemies, Doom Orb will launch itself on distant enemies, which is excellent for range classes like Rogue and Sorcerer.

Firebat Servants is another Eldritch power, which you may recall from Diablo 3. This conjures a deadly swarm of Firebats that swarm enemies, inflict fire damage, and stun them.

Abyssal Resonance creates an explosion that deals shadow damage. Moreover, the size and damage of each consecutive explosion increases, stacking up to 3.

Diablo 4 Welcome Back Boost: How to get and what it does

Wave of Woes is activated when you damage an enemy with your skills. Aside from dealing bonus shadow damage, it echoes this damage to nearby enemies of the same type.

Purging Touch is a passive ability that boosts Eldritch damage against Headrotten enemies. At rank 10, this bonus damage extends to all enemies.

Hex of Flames is a Lucky Hit skill that can deal additional fire damage to an enemy target. A higher-level version of this ability can explode and deal damage to all nearby enemies when you land a critical strike.

All Psyche powers in Diablo 4 Season of Witchcraft

Psyche powers are defensive abilities that increase your survivability and apply debuffs on enemies.

One of the Psyche powers is called Vengeful Spirit, which soaks all damage on your behalf and deals shadow damage to enemies.

Life Link, as the name suggests, links your health with three nearby enemies and transfers some of the physical damage you receive to them.

When you reach rank 15 with this ability, using a defensive or macabre of Subterfuge skill will convert any linked damage into a guaranteed critical strike.

Hex Shattering reduces the damage dealt by enemies for 5 seconds. Moreover, at rank 8, applying the Hex Effect on Headrotten will convert all damage into guaranteed critical strikes.

Aura of Misfortune allows you to interrupt enemy attacks, increase your movement speed, and slow enemies.

Aura of Lament, on the other hand, slows nearby enemies and, depending on the number of afflicted enemies, grants you Primary Resource each second.

Twilight Warding is pretty straightforward as it applies a Barrier that absorbs damage and reflects enemy projectiles.

All Growth & Decay powers in Diablo 4 Season of Witchcraft

Growth & Decay powers, as the name suggests, are abilities that allow you to conjure or summon Familiars to deal damage or heal yourself in battle.

One of the Familars you can summon is the endearing Poison Frog Servant, a reimagined version of the Toad of Hugeness from Diablo 3’s Witch Door character class, who deals Poison damage to enemies.

Soul of Harvest leeches nearby enemies’ health every time you use a skill with a cooldown and increases your primary stat by 3% per monster for X seconds.

Hex of whispers is afflicted on an enemy after you have dealt damage to them. Upon your next attack, this affliction deals shadow damage to that enemy, which then bounces to other nearby enemies up to six times.

On reaching rank 7, this ability will also Fortify you and remove all crowd control and status effects.

Decay Augmentation allows your witchcraft effects to deal bonus damage based on your class. Upon reaching rank 10, this ability can insta-kill enemies when DoT exceeds 85% of the enemy’s total life.

Grow can imbue your ultimate ability, servants, minions, and companions with dark magic, allowing them to grow larger in size and deal more damage.

Once you reach rank 11 with this ability, your ultimate ability, servants, minions, and companions also gain a 100% critical strike chance when empowered.

Aura of Siphoning conjures an aura of decay that deals poison damage to enemies and heals you.

The Cycle has a chance to grow a flower on the ground every time you cast a skill, which deals poison damage to nearby enemies or heals nearby allies.

All Lost Witchcraft powers in Diablo 4 Season of Witchcraft

Not much is currently known about the Lost Witchcraft powers, except that you can discover them while adventuring across Sanctuary.

These are special abilities that you unlock by finding and interacting with lost altars.

Some Lost Witchcraft powers can improve the efficiency of other Witchcraft powers, while others are visual spectacles that deal direct damage to enemies.

One of the Lost abilities is Piranhado, which unleashes a gigantic vortex of water and piranhas that pulls enemies towards it and shreds them to pieces.

Breath of the Coven increases your attack speed every time you deal damage or apply crowd control effects to enemies with Witchcraft powers.

Hex Specialization increases the potency of Hex Effects and critical strike chance against enemies affected by your Hex effects.

Aura Specialization increases the size of Aura Effects and critical strike damage against enemies inside your Aura Effects.

These are all the Witchcraft abilities confirmed so far in Diablo 4 Season of Witchcraft.
