In Warzone Season 6, Purgatory is one of the new LTMs (Limited Time Modes), along with 

Zombie Royale that players can play right now.

This new game mode takes place on the Rebirth Island Hellspawn map, a horror sandbox setting where squads can complete various objectives without rushing.

Here are the different new mechanics that you will find and can use while playing the Purgatory game mode in Warzone Season 6:

  • Powerups: There are Weapon Blueprints and Killstreaks that you can loot to equip super weapons from Arcade mode while gaining enhanced abilities via Mutations.
  • Portals: Purgatory map features portals that you can take to move around.
  • Flying Shipment: The map is full of flying shipment platforms you can reach using a parachute, helicopter, and the new portals to get lucrative loots.
  • Safe Zone: Around the map, you will find areas enclosed within a translucent dome that acts as a safe zone where you can chill with your squad and other players in a third-person perspective.

  • Torment Level: When you eliminate enemies, you increase your Torment Level, and while it is good for improving your XP gain in each run, it also makes you visible on enemies’ radar, making you an easy target.
  • Scare Packages: The Scare Packages are drops you can find around the map consisting of powerful loot.
  • Terriball: Spawing around the map and in Scare Packages, Terribals can be shot, melee, or run into to send it flying in any direction, instantly eliminating enemies.
