From the recent trailer to the tidbits of information from Remedy devs, it seems Alan Wake 2: The Lake House will be the most terrifying experience AW experience yet, and if you can’t wait to get your hands on it, you’re in the right place.

Alan Wake 2 Lake House DLC will be released in October 22, 2024. Sadly, as of this writing, Remedy Entertainment have not revealed a concrete release date for the upcoming expansion.

That said, Alan Wake 2 was released on 27 October 2023, and dropping the Lake House expansion in that same week this year seems like the perfect way to celebrate the first anniversary of this iconic survival horror sequel.

Alan Wake 2 Lake House takes place in the mysterious FBC facility on the Cauldron Lake. The story runs parallel to the events of AW 2 and plays out from the perspective of FBC agent, Kiran Estevez (voiced by Janina Gavankar), who made a brief appearance in Wake and Saga’s story arcs in the base game.

For those unaware, the Cauldron Lake is the most ominous location in the entirety of Bright Falls. It’s the source of the Dark Presence, and a vessel to the Dark Place in which Alan was stuck for 13 years.

As such, you can expect a lot of terrifying encounters with the Taken and Cynthia Weaver-esque jump scares. Since the Lake House will be the final AW 2 DLC, you could also expect it to set the stage for Control 2, especially since Lake House is an FBC facility.
