Marvel Rivals Season 1: Eternal Night Falls is significantly bigger than Season 0: Doom’s Rise, adding multiple new playable characters, maps, and a game mode.

Marvel Rivals season 1 adds the Fantastic Four to the hero roster. This includes Mister Fantastic (Duelist), Invisible Woman (Strategist), Human Torch, and The Thing. 

Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman will be released in the first half of Marvel Rivals season 1, whereas the Human Torch and The Thing will be added in the second half.

Marvel Rivals season 1 will bring three NYC-themed maps to the game. 

These are: 

  • Empire of Eternal Night: Sanctum Sanctorum
  • Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown 
  • Empire of Eternal Night: Central Park

Midtown will be released in the first half of Marvel Rivals season 1 and feature notable POIs like the Baxter Building and Avengers Tower.

Marvel Rivals season 1 adds a new game mode called Doom Match that takes place in the Sanctum Sanctorum map. 

In a recent dev diary, Zhiyong, the lead combat designer, explained that Doom Match is an Arcade game mode for 8-12 players in which the top 50% of players are declared winners after a specific amount of KOs are achieved.

Marvel Rivals season 1 will feature a premium battle pass with ten Eternal Nightfalls-themed skins and related accessories like the stunning All-Butcher Epic skin for Loki and Bounty Hunter Epic skin for Rocket.

Since the season 1 battle pass features double the rewards of season zero’s pass, it costs a bit extra.

Marvel Rivals season 1 premium battle pass will cost you 990 Lattice ($10), but you can earn 600 Lattice and 600 units by unlocking all the rewards.
