Six games have been selected as medal events for the 2021 Asian Indoor And Martial Arts Games, a multi-sport event hosted by Thailand this year.
Arena of Valor, Dota 2, Legends of Runeterra, Tekken 7, Assetto Corsa, and One Lap E-Cycling have all been approved by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) and will be medal events at the games.
The 6th Asian Indoor And Martial Arts Games will commence on May 21, 2021, on host cities Bangkok and Chonburi in Thailand.

The Asian Indoor Martial Arts Games mostly consists of indoor disciplines like basketball, badminton, bowling, and volleyball. Esports was also included as a category during the event’s 2017 run, featuring four popular online titles Hearthstone, StarCraft II, The King of Fighters XIV, and Dota 2.
Esports made history last year at the 2019 Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games). It was the first time esports was included as a medal event in the SEA Games, as officially sanctioned by the International Olympic Committee. Ultimately, the goal of the industry is to have esports recognized as a medal event in the Olympics.
