HoYoverse is rapidly growing its gaming portfolio.
Its parent company, miHoYo, has received the green light from China’s National Press and Publication Administration (NPPA) to launch a new game titled Xingbu Gudi (roughly translated as “Star Valley”) within mainland China.
This game will be available on both mobile and PC platforms, according to a report by the news publication South China Morning Post.
Adding to the intrigue, HoYoverse filed trademarks for “Astaweave Haven” and “Hoshimi Haven” in Japan just a month before the Chinese license approval. This development has fueled speculation about a potential connection between these titles.
MiHoYo’s Xingbu Gudi approved: Connection to Astaweave Haven speculated
Online reports suggest that Astaweave Haven could be a farm life simulation RPG, similar to popular games like ConcernedApe’s Stardew Valley and Nintendo’s Animal Crossing. However, HoYoverse has yet to confirm these details.
These recent developments come shortly after the successful launch of the company’s action RPG, Zenless Zone Zero, on July 4, 2024.
If Astaweave Haven is formally announced, it would mark HoYoverse’s ninth game, following the success of Honkai Star Rail, Genshin Impact, and Honkai Impact 3rd.
MiHoYo, founded in 2011, has rapidly ascended to become a global gaming powerhouse. The company’s initial success came with the Honkai Impact series, which garnered a dedicated fanbase.
However, it was the open-world action RPG Genshin Impact, released in 2020, that catapulted miHoYo into international stardom. The game’s stunning visuals, gameplay, and gacha monetization model proved to be a winning formula, generating billions in revenue and attracting millions of players worldwide.
Building on the success of Genshin Impact, HoYoverse has expanded its portfolio to include a variety of genres, showcasing the company’s versatility and commitment to providing different gaming experiences.
