The Diablo 4 Belial’s Return release date is upon us. The enigmatic Belial has resurfaced, and his arrival has brought forth unsettling Apparition Monsters that now plague Sanctuary.
But the land’s inhabitants are not passive — some brave souls are stepping forward to confront this threat. Among them are Sayeena, a seasoned Vizjerei mage who has left her former life behind, and Jarius, a self-proclaimed knight of the Cathedral of Light.
Though their initial encounters are marked by caution, Sayeena and Jarius share a common resolve: to eliminate the source of these menacing creatures. All are invited to decipher Belial’s sinister scheme and restore peace to Sanctuary.
How to begin Lord of Lies quest
The Lord of Lies has returned, twisting reality to his malevolent will. Courageous wanderers can now confront the Exalted Lair Boss, Belial, and other formidable foes in the newly revamped Lair Boss encounters.
To begin the Lord of Lies questline, seek out the Stranger in Kyovashad’s city center, near the Waypoint.
Please note that this quest requires completion of the main Diablo IV campaign and the creation of a new character within the Seasonal Realm.
New events, new Boss Powers, new Reliquary System
With Belial’s return, Sanctuary is now plagued by new Apparition Incursion events. These open-world, multiplayer boss rush encounters challenge daring wanderers to defeat targeted waves of enemies, offering enhanced rewards for their efforts.
Furthermore, players can now harness the power of their foes with the introduction of new Boss Powers. A staggering 24 distinct powers, combined with 48 main and modifier combinations, allow for unprecedented customization.
By earning Spectral Ash from the Apparition Legion Events, players can upgrade their acquired powers, further enhancing their combat prowess.
The Battle Pass has also undergone a significant transformation with the new Reliquary System. This overhaul provides players with multiple pathways to earn rewards, increasing player agency and creating a more customizable and engaging rewards experience, ensuring that every step of the journey feels meaningful and rewarding.
