Smash your opponents hard with this versatile Golem deck in Pokemon TCG Pocket.
A real groundbreaker in the meta, featuring a rock-solid core with Golem itself, this non-EX Pokemon delivers earth-shattering blows that rival EX Pokemon whilst also boasting surprisingly high HP.
The inclusion of Marshadow and Hitmonlee provides excellent coverage against specific matchups, further solidifying this deck’s versatility.
This Golem deck has dominated online tournaments, consistently outperforming opponents and achieving a remarkable win rate.

This Golem deck exclusively runs Fighting Energy.
Similar to many ramp decks, Golem requires time to develop on the bench. Druddigon excels in this scenario, effectively stalling the opponent while Golem powers up and evolves.
Do not invest any Energy into Druddigon, its role is to simply take hits in the Active spot.
If Druddigon doesn’t appear in any of your opening hands, Marshadow and Hitmonlee can also be effective leaders as they are relatively cheap to Retreat. Against decks that run weak benched Pokemon like Magikarp, Hitmonlee is great at crippling and even sniping these Pokemon.
Golem is the star of this deck, so prioritize getting Energy into it as fast as possible. Having Brock in your hand will significantly boost Golem’s development, allowing it to enter the field and dominate the game sooner.
Once Golem is on the field, don’t be afraid to play aggressive once its damage reduction kicks in! With Golem in play, your next play is to either power up Marshadow or a secondary Golem.
If you’re under threat of being knocked out, get some Energy onto Marshadow so it can be on standby for a 100 damage revenge attack.
Don’t be afraid to rotate Pokemon around with Leaf when playing this deck! Positioning is key, especially if it means you can land an extra sneaky KO without risk of giving away two points. The beauty of a non-EX deck!
