Deadlock has many beginner-friendly characters like Haze, Seven, and Infernus. However, Vindicta is considered to be a bit weak when it comes to easy-to-learn heroes.

At the time of writing, Deadlock has a total of 22 heroes who are special in certain scenarios if used correctly. Now since, the game follows MOBA ideologies, a proper build plan is crucial.

Vindicta is a great damage-dealing hero, making it easier for her to clear lanes and make it to the other end of the map. Though, players should adjust their through the game to make her a powerful foe.

Deadlock Vindicta abilities explained

For players who prefer long-range combat, Vindicta is an outstanding choice, as her falloff range is between 22 meters and 24 meters. Moreover, she is very nimble with her movement which makes her hard to target.

Stake

Stake is a trapping ability that restricts enemy movement for a short duration of 1.75 seconds. Press 1 to equip throw the tether device which captures the enemy within its 8-meter radius. Additionally, it also deals 60 base damage which scales with spirit upgrades.

When the projectile captures an enemy, they are slowed down by 30% making them vulnerable. If paired with her Assassinate ability the Stake ability ends up being a powerful combo.

  • Level 1: +0.5 tether duration
  • Level 2: -19 seconds cool down
  • Level 3: Tethered enemies are also disarmed

It is best to upgrade her ability during the late game after unlocking the Assassinate ability. This would allow you to trap your enemies in one place and decimate your enemies with high-damage rounds.

Furthermore, after fully upgrading the Assassinate ability, you’d get 600 extra Souls by eliminating players. With would help farm Souls quickly and spend on late-game items to make yourself invincible in the end.

Flight

Flight is a movement-boosting ability that sends Vindicta to the skies and increases her spirit damage per bullet by 10. This damage ramps up by upgrading her spirit level, which makes her an unstoppable force to deal with.

While the ability is active Vindicta stays in the air for 8 seconds where she can freely move around. Use the ability during tough situations to move around in the air and disrupt enemy aim lock on.  

  • Level 1: +50% base ammunition while flying
  • Level 2: +6 seconds duration
  • Level 3:  +12 spirit damage per bullet

Upgrade the ability fully during late mid-game after fully upgrading the ultimate ability. Pairing it with the Assassinate ability would increase the damage of her weapon exponentially, making it feel like a paper shredder.

Keep in mind that the increase in bullets only affects her base ammo storage. So ammo increase items like Titanic Magazine, won’t add to the ammunition count.

Crow Familiar

Crow Familiar is a throwable ability that inflicts damage on impact. Upon landing, the ability reduces the bullet resistance of the targetted Hero and applies bleed which damages the opponent over time. 

The bleed debuff takes away 3% of the opponent Hero’s health, which can be increased by another 3% by upgrading the ability. Furthermore, it also suppresses the healing of opponents by 40% which is a plus.

  • Level 1: Crow ricochets up to two times towards other enemies within 15 meters.
  • Level 2: -16 seconds cooldown
  • Level 3: +3% bleed and suppresses enemy healing by -40%

It recommended upgrading the ability during late-game as it would help Vindicta take down opponents faster in Deadlock. Furthermore, the suppression of healing items can appear to be beneficial if the team coordinates to take down powerful foes.

Assassinate

Assassinate ability can be stated as your ultimate ability if you prioritize damaging your opponents. This ability also deals bonus damage to opponents who have less than 50% health remaining. Thus, making this your go-to ability if you wish to end your opponent’s life.

On successfully eliminating your opponent using the ultimate, you’ll get an extra 250 Souls. This bonus can be increased by fully upgrading the ability. So it is best to upgrade the ability fully during the early game, for better Soul farming.

  • Level 1: -19 seconds cooldown
  • Level 2:  +140 bonus damage
  • Level 3: Assassinate kills grants +600 souls

The best part about the Assassinate ability is its damage scaling which increases by leveling up Spirit items. Moreover, the ability pairs well with other abilities making it robust and essential for playing Vindicta in Deadlock.

Items are essential in Deadlock and the same rule applies to Vindicta too. By using the shops on the map, you can upgrade the character’s vitality, spirit, and weapons by using Souls.

Every character build is unique and situational, thus we have provided all the best possible items you can use during early, mid, and late games. Feel free to adjust the usage of the items to your liking.

  • Early Game: Sprint Boost, Extra Charge, Mystic Burst, Rapid Rounds, and Soul Shredder Bullets.

You don’t need to focus on health much during early game, instead focus on increasing your damage output and soul gain. To compensate for your lack of vitality, invest in Sprint Boost to keep Vindicta agile.

Use the Extra Charge item to quickly replenish your abilities and base your game on that. As for other mentioned items, use them to increase your Soul-farming capabilities.

  • Mid Game: Burst Fire, Pristine Emblem, Combat Barrier, Enchanter’s Barrier, Improved Burst, Fortitude, Mystic Vulnerability, Ethereal Shift, and Enduring Speed.

Once you’ve gathered enough Souls try to sell off some damage-dealing items for better ones and continue the trend. While doing so also work towards increasing your Spirit powers to improve your ability damage and effectiveness.

By mid-game opponents will be dealing high damage, so try to increase your vitality with items like Fortitude, Enchanter’s Barrier, and Combat Barrier. You can also improve Vindicta’s agility by adding Enduring Speed.

  • Late Game: Heroic Aura, Glass Cannon, Swift Striker, Rapid Recharge, Vampiric Burst, Leech, Lucky Shot, Crippling Headshot, and Silencer.

To make Vindicta even more powerful, trade your weapon upgrade items with Glass Cannon, Lucky Shot, and Crippling Headshot. All these items will make her weapon feel like a shredder. 

Using her abilities should be primary in build so don’t forget to take Rapid Recharge. Add on items like Leech, to heal up Vindicta as she damages to make her self-sufficient. 

  • Situational: Healing Rite, Superior Stamina, Soul Rebirth, Unstoppable, Warp Stone, Toxic Bullet, Curse.

These are optional items that are only useful to Vindicta under certain conditions. You can use these items with the available Flex Slots, and switch them accordingly.

For players who like to base their gameplay upon movement, picking Superior Stamina would be a great choice. Toxic Bullets are good too, as they add bleed damage to Vindicta’s weapon. However, all of these things are optional.
