Curious about where to find Destiny 2 Artifice Armor? These super rare armor pieces go great with any build, and are among the best items in Bungie’s looter shooter.
But getting them can prove to be a challenge since the game doesn’t tell you where to go, and which dungeons to beat.
Destiny 2 Artifice Armor can only be found in Master-difficulty dungeons including Grasp of Avarice, Spire of the Watcher and the dreamlike Duality dungeon.
In this article, we’ll be listing the best ways to tackle these dungeons and what you need to bring in each one to get an Artifice Armor drop.
What does Destiny 2 Artifice Armor do?
Artifice Armor contain an extra mod slot which also grants a +3 upgrade on any character stat of your choice (ie. Mobility, Resilience, Recovery, etc.). Considering that there are five armor slots (instead of the regular four), these stat buffs can add up pretty quickly.
That said, Destiny 2 Artifice Armor are extremely hard to get, and are only reserved for the most dedicated Guardians. Here are all of the dungeons that offer Artifice Armor loot drops.
Destiny 2 Artifice Armor dungeons
To earn Destiny 2 Artifice Armor, obtain loot rewards from Grasp of Avarice, Spire of the Watcher and the Duality dungeon on Master difficulty.
While you only need to focus on three dungeons, these are among the toughest missions to beat in Destiny 2, and are not available in the free-to-play version.
It’s important to note that you can’t get the Artifice form of an armor piece you don’t currently own. In other words, it’s impossible to grind for the entire Artifice “Twisting Echo Suit” set if you’ve only found its helmet.
So try to complete your armor collection in Normal mode before attempting to grind for Artifice Armor.
Grasp of the Avarice
To earn Artifice Armor in Grasp of the Avarice, you’ll need to have the 30th Anniversary Pack. This will let you claim all of the rewards and also get you some premium loot, so watch out for future sales!
Another advantage of grinding Grasp is the double loot drops from its final boss encounter, as seen below:
To access the other two Artifice Armor dungeons, you’ll need The Witch Queen Dungeon Key add-on, which is available in the Eververse store.
The Spire of the Watcher is played with a 3-man Fireteam, and it is highly recommended that each player has a power level of 1600 or higher.
Luckily, Spire doesn’t have a time limit on the final stage, so you won’t be in a rush to get your Artifice Armor.
Duality Dungeon
Last on our list is the Duality Dungeon, a Season 17 dungeon which offers a drop chance for Destiny 2 Artifice Armor.
Once you get the Witch Queen Dungeon Key, you’ll still need to wait until Duality becomes available once in the weekly dungeon rotations.
Void-shielded Bellkeepers, unpredictable Champions and a time limit all make the Duality Dungeon a real challenge.
So bring your Void weapons, adjust your loadouts to the enemies that appear and give yourself more sustain before fighting Caiatl in the final stage.
