Saint-14’s signature shotgun Perfect Paradox has returned in Destiny 2 Episode: Echoes, with a refreshed set of perks that makes it a standout Kinetic weapon.

Like Martyr’s Retribution, Perfect Paradox isn’t a craftable weapon, so you will have to depend on RNG to obtain its god roll. That said, this ONE Esports guide explains the best possibilities for the Perfect Paradox god roll for PvE and PvP activities.

Trait 2Trench Barrel: After a successful melee hit, this weapon gains increased damage, handling, and reload speed for a short duration or until three shots are fired.

Or,
Swashbuckler: This weapon gains increased damage from melee kills and kills with this weapon.

Origin TraitCast No Shadows: Dealing melee damage increases this weapon’s handling and loads a small amount of ammo from reserves.

Barrel Shrould will improve this weapon’s handling and stability, making it more efficient to switch from primary to this and take down enemy targets.

Tactical Magazine will further increase stability and significantly improve its reload speed. Both these attributes are quite essential for any Shotgun, and Perfect Paradox benefits greatly from it. You also get +1 magazine, which can be game-changing in intense encounters.

Dual Loader in the third column perk is a solid option for PvE as it will load the weapon faster.

For the fourth column perk, you could go with Trench Barrel or Swashbuckler. Both can boost your weapon’s damage, but we recommend Trench Barrel because it can also improve handling and reload speed.

However, Swashbuckler is easier to proc, so pick whichever you find more convenient.

Reload speed is a no-brainer for Masterwork since Shotguns (or any Special weapon) in PvE can benefit the most from improving this stat over anything else.

Perfect Paradox is a surprisingly good choice for PvP. It’s easy to rake some kills with it, granted you have the aforementioned god roll.

For Barrel and Magazine, we recommend Small Bore and Accurized Rounds to boost this weapon’s range.

Slideshot is a pretty convenient perk for PvP, especially since it can reload the weapon and boost range and stability. It’s especially vital for Shotguns, and Perfect Paradox can benefit from it.

Opening Shot is also a pretty popular PvP perk, and since Perfect Paradox can get it in the fourth column, we absolutely recommend it. This will significantly increase your chances of raking a kill on your first attempt after spawning.

Since range is the focus in PvP, you could go no wrong with improving it for Masterwork.
