It’s arguably one of the best additions in Revenant, thanks to its lightweight frame and Stasis-only perk combinations like Rimstealer and Headstone.

The best Red Tape PvE perk combinations are easily Rimestealer and Headstone in the third and fourth columns, respectively.
Headstone can spawn Stasis crystals, and Rimestealer can grant you Frost Armor by destroying those crystals. Frost Armor synergizes with a plethora of Revenant artifact perks, so there’s plenty of build potential here.
Alternatively, you can go with Attrition Orbs and Explosive Payload. The latter is one of the best AoE damage perks in Destiny 2 and can be used to swiftly clear ads.
As for other perks, it’s best to go with ones that improve the recoil and stability of the weapon, as you would be aiming for precision kills.

The best Red Tape PvP perk combinations are Keep Away and Explosive Payload in the third and fourth columns, respectively.
Keep Away will boost reload, range, and stability, making it easier to take down enemies from a distance.
Explosive Payload, on the other hand, can help kill or at least damage nearby Guardians, making it easier for your teammates to finish them off.
To improve this weapon’s effectiveness in PvP, you may want to prioritize improving range and stability over everything else.
