VS Chill Inhibitor is a rapid-fire frame Stasis GL, a first-of-its-kind, and is currently one of the best heavy weapons for defeating endgame bosses.
Destiny 2 VS Chill Inhibitor PvE god roll explained
Since heavy Grenade Launchers aren’t very effective in PvP, we confine our VS Chill Inhibitor god roll for PvE content.
PERK TYPE | PERK NAME & DESCRIPTION |
Barrel | Quick Launch: +10 Velocity, +15 Handling |
Magazine | Spike Grenades: Grenades fired from this weapon do increased damage on direct hits. Increases stability. Or, High Velocity Rounds: +10 Velocity, +10 Reload Speed |
Trait 1 | Envious Arsenal: Dealing damage with both other weapons before readying this weapon refills it from reserves. Or, Cascade Point: Final blows or sustained precision hits with another weapon increase this weapon’s rate of fire for a short duration. |
Trait 2 | Bait and Switch: Deal damage with all equipped weapons within a short time to give this weapon a damage boost. Or, Chain Reaction: Each final blow with this weapon creates an elemental damage explosion. |
Masterwork | Velocity / Handling |
Origin Trait | Bray Legacy: Damage with this weapon generates a small amount of ability energy for the one closest to a full charge. |
Velocity and Handling are the most important stats for this particular VS Chill Inhibitor god roll, which is why we recommend Quick Launch for Barrel.
For Magazine, Spike Grenades is an excellent choice if you want to kill down bosses. That said, High Velocity is a much safer choice as it will further boost Velocity and reduce Reload Speed, thus making it easier to effectively use this weapon.
For the third and fourth column Traits, we recommend the combination of Envious Arsenal and Bait and Switch. The former will reload the weapon from reserves while dealing damage from other weapons, whereas the latter will boost its weapon damage.
Since the condition to proc these buffs is the same and the buffs themselves are quite effective, this is an easy pick.
Alternatively, if you want to use this weapon for clearing ads, Cascade Point and Chain Reaction Traits would be better.
For Masterwork, you could go with either Velocity or Handling, though the latter wouldn’t be very useful if you don’t have Envious Arsenal and Bait and Switch.
