If you are looking for the best build for the Spiritborn class in Diablo 4, focusing on speed with very high DPS capability, keep reading our guide.
The Spiritborn is a highly versatile class in Diablo 4 with a character kit filled with Basic, Passive, Core, Defensive, and Ultimate skills that open up a lot of build paths for players to opt for.
From DoT (damage over time) to glass cannon builds to acting like an immovable tank, standing at one location and destroying all the enemies, the Spiritborn abilities allow all these builds.
Among them, one of the S-tier build setups for the Spiritborn is the Eagle Path, which again has different types of builds, but the one that we are going to talk about is based around Eagle Spirit, Evade, the Thunderspike Basic Skill, and Soar.
The best build for Spiritborn in Diablo 4
Our best Spiritborn build focused on moving around the battlefield using Evade and Soar while allowing the passive Storm Feathers from the Eagle Spirit to do the main damage with each Evade.
That is why we chose Thunderspike for the Basic Skills. It stands at the core of the build, ensuring you can Evade back-to-back without waiting for any cooldown.
Diablo 4 Spiritborn skill setup
Here is the skill setup for the best Eagle Path Spiritborn build in Diablo 4:

Accelerated Thunderspike | – |

The Devourer | 5 |
Vital Strikes | – |
While the above setup is best for high DPS, you can mix the setup with a few other skills.
For example, while the uptime for The Devourer increases your overall DPS, we often like to use The Seeker for the guaranteed Critical Strike.
We also switch the Armored Hide and Concussive Stomp with Quill Volley and so on. Keep experimenting!
But if you are making changes, make sure to change your equipment. For example, if you opt for Quill Volley, then instead of Soulwatch Hoop of Unyielding Hits Ring, you must use the Rebounding Greatheat Band.
Best Spiritborn build — Spirit Hall Spirits
As mentioned earlier, the entire build’s main DPS output comes from the Eagle Spirit.
So, in the Spirit Hall, in the Spirit Slot, equip Eagle to get the following benefits:
- Casting an Eage Skill grants 4 seconds of the Storm Feathers Movement Speed bonus. When you Evade, fling up to 8 Storm Feathers for every remaining second, each dealing 278 Lightning damage and making targets Vulnerable for 5 seconds.
For the secondary slot, once again, choose the Eagle Spirit to get the following buff:
- For every 4 meters you move, your Critical Strike Chance increases by 4%. This bonus is reset 2 seconds after you Critically Strike.
As you can see, the more you move around and perform Evade, the more DPS you have from the above Spirit setup.
Remember, the Movement Speed bonus we get will also aid in improving the DPS via passive skills.
Best Spiritborn build — best in slot equipment
Here is the best-in-slot equipment that you should be using for this build:
EQUIPMENT TYPE | EQUIPMENT |
Helm | Loyalty’s Mantle |
Chest Armor | Runic Mail of Layered Wards |
Gloves | Runic Gloves of Elements |
Pants | Runic Leggings of Interdiction |
Boots | Rakanoth’s Wake or Duelist’s Runic Cleats |
Weapon | Sepazontec |
Talisman | Ocelot’s Eye of Redirected Force |
Ring Slot 1 | Soulwatch Hoop of Unyielding Hits |
Ring Slot 2 | Ring of the Midnight Sun |
While you can go for other equipment, as it is doubtful that you will have the above equipment, as we all know Diablo 4 drops and how infuriating they can be, the above produces optimal results, the balance between speed and damage.
That being said, if you are farming equipment, focus on the ones that provide more Dexterity for movement speed and CRIT Strike Chance.
Best Spiritborn Runes to use
When selecting Runes for this build, we recommend focusing on BAC for generating Offerings and GAR for increasing your CRIT Rate, which is one of the core stats, and you need it to proc more CRITs.
Other Ritual and Invocation Runes that you can use are CEM with TZIC, XAL, or WAT.
If you are not using the Gorilla Skill bonus for the extra weapon damage and the Unyielding Hits Aspect, you can remove Tzic and use Xal or Wat instead.
Best Spiritborn build — which Mercenary to choose and their skill setup
When it comes to selecting the Mercenary for the best Eagle Path Spiritborn build, we recommend going for Raheir with the following skill setup:
- Valiance
- Shield Charge
- Raheir’s Guard
- Provoke
- Mocking Lure
The above setup will give you an extra damage bonus and armor to increase your survivability.
That concludes our best build guide for the Spiritborn class in Diablo 4.
