Season 5 introduces a new seasonal activity called Diablo 4 Infernal Hordes. This wave-based endgame activity lets you fight hordes of demons to unlock Spoils of Hell, which is your one-way ticket to some of the new hellish-themed legendary and unique items in the latest season.

Infernal Hordes may seem similar to Helltides or Season of Blood’s Blood Harvest activity, but there are plenty of nuances to keep things fresh and engaging.

This ONE Esports guide explains everything you need to know about Diablo 4’s Infernal Hordes activity.

You can start the Infernal Hordes activity in Diablo 4 after reaching World Tier 3 and finishing the new seasonal quest, “The Eyes of the Enemy.” To start this quest, head to Hawezar after reaching World Tier 3 to investigate a disturbance among the civilians.

Unlike Blood Harvest, the Infernal Hordes activity is available in the Eternal Realm, so if you don’t plan on creating a new seasonal character, you can use your existing ones to run this activity as well.

To access the Infernal Hordes activity, you will need a new material called Infernal Compasses. You can craft or earn Infernal Compasses by running various endgame activities in Diablo 4.

As mentioned above, Infernal Hordes is a wave-based activity in Diablo 4. You can head in solo or with friends to battle hordes of demons and complete multiple waves. At the end of each wave, you can add modifiers known as Infernal Offers to make encounters more challenging and rewarding.

Do note that these Infernal Offers stack up, and since you only have limited revives in this activity, make sure you’re well prepared to face the forces of hell.

Each wave lasts for 60 seconds, and once you have completed the final wave, you will have to defeat three of the five Fell Priest bosses to complete the activity.

Slaying the Fell Council will grant you Burning Aether, which you can use to open Spoils of Hell containing random loots such as new unique and legendary items with greater affixes, masterwork materials, and gold.

That’s everything you need to know about the Infernal Hordes activity in Diablo 4.
