Diablo 4 Season 5 will end on October 8, 2024, at the weekly reset time of 10 a.m. PT. However, since its conclusion will coincide with the launch of Diablo 4’s first expansion, Vessel of Hatred, you can expect the game to undergo maintenance a few hours earlier.

It’s worth pointing out that Season of the Infernal will be Diablo 4’s shortest season so far, lasting roughly two months compared to the usual three-month cycle. As such, you have relatively less time to max out your season 5 character and obtain all the battle pass rewards.

As mentioned above, you may want to claim all the battle pass rewards first, which includes the fiery Archenemy armor set and Hell Borne title, among other things.

The best way to gain battle pass rank quickly is by completing chapter objectives and running endgame activities like Helltides, Nightmare Dungeons, Infernal Hordes, and The Pit.

Speaking of the Pit, you may want to play this to farm Stygian Stones and masterwork materials, as it will save some time on improving affixes on your endgame gear in the next season.

Lastly, you may want to wrap up the “Of Lambs and Wolves” seasonal questline if you haven’t yet, though narratively, there’s not much going on here that could hamper your experience going into Vessel of Hatred expansion and Diablo 4 Season 6.
