The Diablo 4 Season 5 release date is on the horizon with a multitude of quality-of-life changes, a new questline, and an exciting new rogue-lite mode called Infernal Hordes.
After a stellar launch but three underwhelming seasons, Diablo 4 finally picked up momentum with Season 4 Loot Reborn, thanks to a revamped loot system, new greater affixes, and more.
Blizzard looks to continue that momentum going into season 5, but when exactly does Diablo 4 Season 5 arrive?
When is the Diablo 4 Season 5 release date?
Diablo 4 Season 5 will start on August 6, 2024 at the daily reset time of 10 a.m. PDT / 1 p.m. EDT.
So far, Diablo 4 seasons have enjoyed a three-month cycle, but season 5 will be shorter, as indicated by Diablo 4’s community lead, Adam Fletcher, in the latest Camp Fire, and will conclude on October 8, 2024, when the game’s first expansion Vessel of Hatred launches.
Interestingly enough, a new Diablo 4 rumor has been circulating on Reddit that suggests season 5 is called Season of the Infernal Hordes and will launch on July 18, 2023. Yes, 2023.
The leaked info aside, July 18 will certainly be an interesting day for Diablo 4 fans, as Blizzard will reveal more details about the highly anticipated new Spiritborn class, which will arrive alongside the Vessel of the Hatred expansion pack.
While there’s certainly a possibility of Blizzard preponing Diablo 4 Season 5 and shadow-dropping it on the day it reveals the Spiritborn class, right now, the upcoming season is scheduled for a two-month long run that kicks off on August 6, 2024.
