Video game distribution platform Steam has debuted the 2020 Steam Game Festival: Spring Edition, which offers over 40 different demos available for free download.
The Steam Game Festival showcases free-to-play games originally meant for this year’s Game Developers Conference (GDC). However, because the event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Steam is offering the games as a treat to its subscribers.
Gamers can choose from the titles that were supposed to be featured in the event’s Indie Megabooth, Wings Fund, Day of the Devs, and The Mix. These include promising titles like the vividly-colored dungeon crawler Going Under and first-person puzzler Superliminal.

In addition to the spring Game Festival, Steam is also holding an all-out sale for award-winning titles from the GDC and Independent Games Festival (IGF). Titles here include the role-playing game Disco Elysium and the 2020 GDC Game of the Year winner Untitled Goose Game.
The Steam Game Festival: Spring Edition runs March 18-23.
