A popular game series is making a comeback with the Dungeon Fighters mobile release date set.
Dungeon Fighter (DNF), a free-to-play anime RPG beat ’em up game developed by Neople, a subsidiary of Nexon, has captivated players for years.
After a seven-year wait, Chinese tech company Tencent announced on April 22, 2024, that fans can finally get their hands on DNF on mobile again.
What is Dungeon Fighters mobile about?
DNF mobile marks the return of the beloved Dungeon Fighter franchise to the mobile gaming scene.
The original Dungeon Fighter Online game, released for PC in 2005, quickly gained a massive following in South Korea.
In DNF, players choose from various character classes, each with unique abilities and playstyle, to embark on epic adventures in the mystical land of Arad.
The game’s side-scrolling beat ’em up style and its RPG elements offers a unique gaming experience that keeps players hooked.
Over the years, DNF underwent several name changes as it was localized for different markets. In Japan, the game was known as Arad Senki, while in English-speaking countries, it was called Dungeon Fighter Online. Despite the name changes, the core gameplay remained the same.
In 2015, a spin-off game, Dungeon Fighter Live Fall of Hendon Myre, was released on Xbox 360.
Dungeon & Fighter Spirit, the first mobile version of the game, was released in Korea in 2016. This mobile adaptation retained many of the elements that made the original game a success while optimizing the experience for mobile devices.
The upcoming Dungeon Fighters Mobile, set to be released in 2024, promises to build upon the success of its predecessors.
