Well of Echoes is one of the key locations in Destiny 2 that has become more relevant in Episode Echoes, thanks to the secret mission, Enigma Protocol, that players can trigger through a hidden location within the well.

Where to find Well of Echoes in Destiny 2 for Enigma Protocol mission
Well of Echoes is a POI in The Tangle region of Destiny 2 on Nessus that you can reach through the Artifact’s Edge landing zone.
First, open the Director, select Nessus, and teleport to the Artifact’s Edge landing zone. Turn around and drop down, and you will find a path leading to The Tangle.
Make sure to summon your Vehicle “Sparrow” to reach the Well of Echoes location highlighted on the above map screenshot. Once there, you will easily identify the well’s location as it has a pyramid-like entrance.
Head inside, drop down the hole in the ground and keep following the path until you reach a portal that takes you to the centre of the Well of Echoes.
There, you will find a shielded elite enemy called Argus, Firewall Guardian. To remove the shield from the enemy, you must find and destroy the white glowing cubes around the arena (two on the first-floor balcony, one right above Argus, and one on the ground floor behind a pillar).
After that, defeat Argus, as doing so will open a hidden path on the ground. Drop down, and soon you will find the Enigma Protocol mission that you can start, granted you have completed the prerequisite quest, Mission: Meteoric.
