Path of Exile 2 launches via early access this holiday season; Grinding Gear Games revealed via a brand new trailer that premiered during this year’s Gamescom Opening Live event.
PoE 2 has been a long time coming, with many players starting to fear that the game might jump out of the 2024 window altogether after Grinding Gear Games delayed the closed beta which was supposed to be held early this year.
Fortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the case, and the game’s early access version finally has a release date. So when is Path of Exile 2 early access releasing?

PoE 2 early access release date details
Path of Exile 2 will be released on December 6, 2024, at 11 a.m. Pacific Time (PT), via early access on all platforms, including PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
Some fortunate players will also get to try the game before its early access launch via the closed beta test, the invites for which must have already been sent.
PoE 2 will include a six-act campaign and a sprawling endgame with over 100 maps. Players can choose between 12 classes and tinker with one of the most expansive skill tree systems ever to customize and build their character.
Interestingly enough, players who get into the closed beta test will get to try the whole game, including endgame and access to all character classes, which Grinding Gear Games had confirmed earlier via an interview with Rock Paper Shotgun.
For Diablo 4 players looking to get into PoE 2, November 15 should be an ideal date as they would have over a month to play through the game’s upcoming expansion Vessel of Hatred and try the new Spiritborn class.
