Fenglope is one of the fastest ground mounts in Palworld, a Pokemon-inspired survival game that has been setting records as one of the best-selling games and achieving high concurrent player counts on Steam.
Aside from condensing multiple Fenglope’s into one, it’s also possible to boost a Fenglope’s speed even further, up to 75%, by “stacking” movement speed passive skills.

This guide will show you how to breed Fenglope, the fastest ground mount in Palworld, to run faster by stacking movement speed passive skills with Pals you can get early in the game.

In Palworld, each Pal possesses a unique set of passive skills. For instance, the “Swift” skill increases a Pal’s movement speed by 30%.

These passive skills are assigned randomly, and each Pal receives its own combination of passive skills, and some may not receive any skills at all. While some skills are beneficial, others can be harmful.

This game mechanic is designed to motivate players to continuously hunt or breed Pals they already own in pursuit of those with specific passive skills they desire.
When breeding Pals that possess certain passive skills, their offspring have a chance to inherit these skills. For example, breeding two Pals, both with the “Swift” passive skill, significantly increases the likelihood that their offspring will inherit this skill.
Passive skills with similar effects can be combined to enhance effectiveness. For example, if you combine an “Swfit” skill, which gives a 30% movement speed bonus, with a “Runner” skill, which adds another 20% movement speed, the total movement speed increase for the offspring could be 50%, assuming they inherit these traits.
This is known as “stacking,” and it’s highly recommended. Stacking passive skills will result in faster and stronger Pals, crucial for beating your PvP opponents!
A quick guide on how to breed Fenglope, the fastest ground mount in Palworld, to run faster
First, to breed the fastest Fenglope, you will need to stack the following passive skills.
- Swift (30% movement speed)
- Runner (20% movement speed)
- Nimble (10% movement speed)
- Legend (15% movement speed, 20% attack, 20% defence)
Second, rather than trying to capture Fenglopes directly, a challenging task at lower level, it’s more effective to breed them by combining other Pals.
For instance, early in the game, you can capture a Direhowl and a Melpaca, both of which can be used to breed a Fenglope.
To discover which pairs of Pals can produce a Fenglope, you can check various online resources, such as Palpedia. Visit Palpedia, click Breeding Calculator, scroll down to the Parent Calculator, select Fenglope as the desired Pal to breed, and it will list different combinations of Pals capable of breeding a Fenglope.
Method A
Instead of trying to capture Fenglopes with specific skills, check your Palbox for any Pals with movement speed passive skills to see if they can breed Fenglopes.
For instance, if you have a Direhowl with “Runner” and “Nimble” passive skills, and a Melpaca with a “Swift” skill, you can combine these two to breed a Fenglope with “Swift,” “Runner,” and “Nimble” passive skills, achieving a 60% increase in movement speed.
Method B
Not everything may go as planned. You might not have a Direhowl or Melpaca with movement speed passive skills, or your Pals with those skills can’t breed Fenglopes.
This is a common issue, so you might need to take additional steps.
Go back to your box and look for Pals with any movement speed passive skills to see if they can breed Pals that are capable of breeding Fenglope.
For example, a Depresso and a Tombat can produce a Direhowl. If you have a Depresso and a Tombat with movement speed skills, you can first breed them to get a Direhowl with those skills, then go back to Method A.
For all possible breeding combinations, you can check Palpedia.
You’ll be very lucky to get one of these Fenglopes on your first try, because when breeding Pals, passing on desired traits is not guaranteed.
Even if you breed a Direhowl and a Melpaca with movement speed passive skills, it might produce a Fenglope with none of the skills and randomly generate other ones instead.
Overwhelming?
It’s definitely an in-game activity that requires time, patience, and lots of cake.
But once you get the hang of it, you’ll realize that it’s not as complicated as it seems and you can use the same system to breed the strongest Jormunitude, or even the fastest working Anubis.
And once you start demolishing bosses, or creating hundreds of ammos in a matter of seconds, or zipping through the land with the fastest ground mount in Palworld, every moment spent on breeding will be worth it.
