Spectre Divide’s first trailer hit the internet on August 1, and since then, players have been finding ways to enter playtest. Here’s how you can apply for early access.

Mountaintop’s Spectre Divide is unlike any other FPS title in 2024. It may look familiar to seasoned shooter players, but even those who have spent decades in Counter-Strike and Valorant lobbies would be surprised by Mountaintop’s unique second-life twist for Spectre Divide.

In this 3v3 shooter, players get to control two separate bodies that share the same brain. This means that if you die once, you can come back as your second Spectre.

Those who played the game in closed alpha are all praises of Spectre Divide, and now the developer is allowing a broader player base to shoot their shot and apply for a playtest.

Mountaintop hasn’t yet started a Spectre Divide closed beta, but it has opened applications in case a slot opens up in the current testing phase.

How to apply for Spectre Divide early access

The game had been in closed alpha for some time now, and it appears Mountaintop is now opening its doors to a few select players. The Steam page says that the developer may consider applications when it’s ready to accept more participants.

To request access, go to the game’s Steam page and scroll until you see a bright green “Request access” button. Click on it and then sign in with your Steam account details.

Once you do that, your request for the Spectre Divide playtest will be sent automatically. If you’re lucky enough, you’ll get an email notifying you about the early access.

Although the closed beta hasn’t launched yet, it’s a good idea to apply for early access now. That’s because applicants who get in early may receive priority consideration when the Spectre Divide playtest goes live, potentially giving them a head start over those who apply later.
