You can get clean water in Sons of the Forest by boiling it or using a rain catcher. To boil water, you will need a cooking pot. It shouldn’t be too difficult to find, considering they spawn in almost every bunker or camp in the game.
Once you have a cooking pot and the materials to make a campfire, head to a water stream and collect the water in the pot. Now, light a fire and place the cooking pot over it. It will take a few seconds, but once the water starts to boil, interact with the pot, and you will have clean water at your disposal. This is the best way to get clean and drinkable water in Sons of the Forest until you have the materials to build a rain catcher.
To build a rain catcher, you will need:
- 12 Sticks
- 1 Turtle Shells
