The Junon Chocobo can climb up walls in the Junon region and it’s by far the most difficult one to unlock in the game.
Having a Chocobo in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is essential as it not only helps you travel faster but also helps in finding buried items and accessing certain parts of the map.
Each region has its own Chocobo exclusive to that part of the map, and in this guide, we will teach you how to acquire the Junon Chocobo.
How to get the Junon Chocobo
As soon as you come out of the Mythril Mine, head northwest and activate the Seabreeze Tower. Doing this will reveal the Junon Chobo location on the map, which is just southwest of the tower.
Once you get there, an Area of Interest will be unlocked, and you will have to catch the grey Chocobo named Belle.
You have to do so without being seen by the other Chocobos or the game will be over, and you’ll have to try again.
First, pull the lever on the switch right in front of you by holding the Triangle button on your controller. This will activate the mining cart next to it.
You will then have to use this to cross to the next switch without being seen by the first Chocobo by slowly sneaking behind the cart.
Activate the second switch to summon the next mining cart. Make sure to pick up rocks nearby because you will need them for the next part of the mini-game.
Then, hit the switch again to make the cart move forward, and there are two ways of doing this.
- Pull the switch and quickly roll to catch up to the cart.
- Position yourself behind the cart and throw a rock at the switch to activate it.
Keep hiding behind the cart to stay hidden from the Chocobos until you reach the end of the tracks, then roll to hide in the bushes.
From the bushes, throw a rock to flip the switch across the field to activate the final cart.
Hide behind the cart and stay out of sight until you reach past Belle. Approach her from behind and press the Triangle button.
Congratulations! You just caught the Junon Chocobo.
