While Life and Mana are returning resources, Spirit is one of the new ones added to the game. There are only a few possible ways to get it and it doesn’t increase over time.
How to increase Spirit in Path of Exile 2?
There are three ways to increase Spirit in Path of Exile 2:
- Kill Bosses
- Equip gear and items
- Become an Infernalist
Kill optional Bosses
There are some optional bosses across various Acts that drop consumables that will boost the Spirit permanently. For example, there’s a boss named The King in the Mists in Act 1 who drops an item that will boost your spirit by 30.

Equip gear and items that has Spirit buffs
In Path of Exile 2, certain gear and items such as a Sceptre grant you bonus Spirit. What they do is give you 100 boost to your Spirit and they are pretty easy to come across. This is essential if you’re running Minion builds and easily makes Sceptres the best way to increase Spirit.

Play Infernalist
If you’re playing the Witch class, its Infernalist Ascendancy skill will boost your Spirit. Beidat’s Will (one of its first nodes) scales with your Max Life. It reserves 25% of Life to increase Maximum Spirit per 25 Maximum Life.
It’s kind of a high risk high reward situation, however, considering Infernalist has a number of other boosting Skills, it’s completely worth it.
