I’ll be honest — when I was completing the tutorial, I never thought I would have trouble with this. Knowing how to jump in Infinity Nikki is crucial as it’s one of your basic mechanics.
Surely I’m not the only one who had trouble… right?
The in-game tutorial tells you exactly what to do, but as we all know when it comes to game mechanics, reading and executing movesets can sometimes feel very different.
In this ONE Esports guide, we share with you the exact step by step on how to jump across platforms and ensure that you never fall again, specifically on mobile.
How to jump in Infinity Nikki
First of all, even if you fail jumping over a platform, don’t worry. See those pink hearts in the screenshot above? At the most, you lose a life.
If you’re like me and you mess up five times, you lose all your hearts and you’ll revive at the last auto checkpoint. Even then, there’s not much to worry about because Nikki automatically regenerates health as you move around the map overtime.
To make a big successful jump, you’re going to want to take a few steps back from the edge of the platform. Just like many platformer games, there are laws of physics to abide by.
The screenshot below shows the widest platform in the tutorial that teaches you a hard lesson on how to jump. To make the leap, go back to the second stone rubble. Then, press the two buttons circled in red — left to move forward and boots to sprint.
Just as you reach the edge of the platform, click the dress button on the right panel that literally shows you the way up. The distance and speed boost combined will lift Nikki off to the greatest height.
The dress icon then changes to the one you see below. At the same time, Nikki’s dress changes to Bubbly Voyage. As the name suggests, this outfit grants you the ability to briefly float in the air after a jump.
Continue holding your left directional button. Don’t press anything else — simply gently guide her onto the next platform.
If you press the dress icon again, you cause her to stop floating and drop down. You can do this if you’re over the ground and you want a precise landing, but if you do this in mid air, you simply fall to death. That’s how I lost all my lives.
