Marvel Rivals Season 1 is in full swing, and NetEase has already confirmed that more content is on the way, including a new hero, The Thing.
Season 1 of Marvel Rivals, The Empire of Eternal Night, introduces shiny new skins, a fresh game mode, and two new heroes. The spotlight is on the Fantastic Four, Marvel’s iconic family locked in a feud with Dracula, and it’s all anyone’s talking about. But there’s a catch.
Marvel Rivals The Thing release date details
The family isn’t quite whole yet. NetEase kicked off Season 1 with Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman, but two key members are still missing.
We already know when Human Torch is coming to the game, but fans are curious about The Thing’s release date in Marvel Rivals.
When is The Thing’s release date in Marvel Rivals?
NetEase is yet to confirm the final release date for Marvel Rivals The Thing, but the founder of the Fantastic Four will likely arrive somewhere between Feb. 21 and 28.
Season 1 of the game is stacked with content, but the developer has confirmed that it will be split into two parts. That means we have yet to get a mid-season update. Considering each half is about six weeks long, it’s safe to assume that The Thing’s release window will be in late February. The rock-solid giant is set to arrive alongside the Human Torch, just like Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman did together.
The Thing will round off the Fantastic Four roster with his hand-to-hand combat. While all three heroes derive their powers from different elements, The Thing is likely to use his massive size to crush enemies. Leakers suggest his skill set will focus on knockback abilities and heavy punches, which makes sense given his comic book legacy.
In the comics, The Thing is famous for his raw strength and unyielding resilience, often taking on foes much larger than himself with brutal force.
