Sons of the Forest is an exploration-focused, survival game in which, you can stumble upon mutated creatures who may try to kill you. One of the best ways to kill them first is by having a crossbow to use.

The crossbow is one of the many unique weapons you can get in Sons of the Forest, though acquiring it isn’t an easy feat.
Where to find the crossbow in Sons of the Forest location
You can get the crossbow inside the food bunker in the northwest part of the island in Sons of the Forest. The cave entrance is next to a couple of golf carts. However, to reach that part of the bunker, you will need the Maintenance keycard.
If you didn’t know, the Maintenance keycard can be found in the Maintenance Bunker A (also in the northwest part of the island), whose entrance is hidden beneath a layer of sand. You will need a Shovel to clear it and enter this bunker.
After you have got the Maintenance keycard, return to the food bunker and make your way across the storage quarters and into the hydroponics facilitiy. You can find the crossbow in the second hydroponics room.
Once you’re here, look for the trail of blood leading to the right side of the room. You will find the crossbow next to a body alongside other resources. Explore this area thoroughly, as there are several crossbow bolts scattered all around. While the crossbow is a deadly weapon, its bolts are quite scarce, so it’s best to save them for emergencies.
After getting the crossbow in Sons of the Forest, you can head back to the entrance, but there are still plenty of things to discover in this bunker. Feel free to march ahead, past the submerged facilities, to find an easy-to-miss room on the left where you can get the VIP keycard.
