Mercenary Marc Spector, better known as Moon Knight, may not be the flashiest character in Marvel Rivals, but his ultimate is easily one of the best in the game.

The talon shower, triggered by his bone-chilling voice line, means instant death for almost every hero—but Tanks and Loki stand a better chance of surviving it. However, with the new secret buff, Moon Knight has turned into a menace.
Taking to Reddit, fans discussed a potential buff that has increased Moon Knights ult damage, making him more powerful than ever before.
How much damage does Moon Knights ult do?
NetEase claims Moon Knights ult damage should be 75 per talon, but after the recent patch update, he’s been dealing double that.
Moon Knights Hand of Khonshu opens a portal, bombarding enemies within 5 meters with talons, each dealing 75 damage. This goes on for three seconds, meaning players have enough time to escape after losing 75 health. However, a new bug is causing insta-death, preventing heroes from surviving the AoE.
Many players noticed their beefy Tanks dying much faster to his ultimate and found some closure when a Reddit user broke down the bug. It turns out each talon has been dealing 150 damage when it hits an enemy directly, while nearby talons still deal 75 damage. This means only direct-hit talons can annihilate a fully healthy opponent after the recent patch update.
With his ultimate triggering instantly instead of after the voice line, leaving no time to escape, Moon Knight has become an unstoppable threat. But this is most likely a bug and not a buff, considering Moon Knight was recently buffed, and no such upgrade was mentioned.
NetEase hasn’t yet acknowledged the bug, but it’s fairly new and may get patched out soon. Until then, Moon Knight mains are trying their best to gatekeep the powerful buff and use it while it lasts.
