Is Deadlock free to play?

Valve’s new game Deadlock is in beta testing, and everyone’s wondering if it’ll be free on release.

Deadlock is a 6v6 hero shooter that blends MOBA elements and team-based gameplay with a wide cast of occult characters.

The beta is invitation-only but its popularity has skyrocketed, resulting in over 100,000 concurrent players in the last three weeks. And it’s not even on Steam yet!

Is Deadlock free to play?

Is Deadlock free to play? Deadlock’s playtest is free to download and play if you can secure an invite, which is easy if you know someone who’s already serving their Patron.

It has been almost a decade since a shiny, new game has come out of Valve’s hallowed halls. Despite the beta being invite-only, Deadlock’s non-existent queue times prove that fans love its eccentric vibe. And we’ve only just begun.

Will Deadlock be free to play when it comes out?

Historically, Valve is known for hugely popular free-to-play titles.

Their last major release was Counter-Strike 2, which amassed 1.62 million concurrent players in April this year. Valve’s multimillion-dollar MOBA “DOTA 2” has also stayed relevant since 2013.
