In addition to these key details, the studio confirmed that PoE 2 early access is also coming to PlayStation 5 this year. But is Path of Exile 2 coming to Xbox?
Is Path of Exile 2 coming to Xbox? Here’s the answer
Path of Exile 2 is a free-to-play APRG in the veins of Diablo.
It features 12 character classes, a six-act campaign, and a sprawling endgame with over 100 maps featuring unique bosses and modifiers.
If you’re wondering if Path of Exile 2 is coming to Xbox, the answer is yes — it will be available on Xbox Series X/S.
Grinding Gear Games revealed this piece of information via a six-minute long PoE 2 console deep dive video, which details things like the game’s control mapping on consoles, UI changes, accessibility options, and the new couch co-op feature.
Do note that PoE 2 is skipping last-gen systems, particularly PS4 and Xbox One, so you won’t be able to play this upcoming title if you own that PlayStation or Xbox console.
PoE 2 on consoles features a different UI than its PC counterpart, especially for things like inventory management to make things more accessible. You can still drag and drop items from your inventory, but there will be shortcuts that make it faster to use items and equip gear.
This, however, shouldn’t come off as a surprise, given PoE 2’s photo-realistic visuals.
Features like couch co-op could have also been a deciding factor, especially given how even current-gen consoles, like Xbox Series S, struggle to render Baldur’s Gate 3 in couch co-op mode.
