The fans want to know, is Stellar Blade soulslike?
So to answer the question of is Stellar Blade soulslike or not — yes, Stellar Blade is a soulslike game, at least to some extent. The city of Xion is brimming with challenging boss encounters that demand diligence and patience.
Sekiro’s parry system is on full display here and is at the heart of Stellar Blade’s intricate combat system. Like in Sekiro, successfully parrying consecutive attacks will deplete the enemy’s parry meter, allowing you to deal a devastating maneuver called Retribution.
Even outside combat, Stellar Blade feels like a soulslike game. Resting stations are scattered all over the map, which functions similarly to Dark Souls’ bonfires. Here, Eve can rest and replenish her health, health potions, and SP. Resting also respawns all the enemies in the area, excluding bosses.
Exploring the world of Stellar Blade also feels quite similar to Dark Souls or Bloodborne. Xion is a sprawling locale full of interconnected maze-like areas.

That said, Stellar Blade isn’t entirely a soulslike game. Unlike those titles minus Sekiro, Stellar Blade features an elaborate skill tree.
The story is also primarily portrayed via cutscenes rather than item descriptions and environmental cues.
