At launch, Marvel Rivals features 18 playable characters, with plans for additional heroes and maps to be released through seasonal updates.

The game’s storyline, as confirmed by Marvel, revolves around a clash between Doctor Doom and his future counterpart from the year 2099, resulting in a multiverse collision that brings together different versions of characters from across the Marvel Multiverse.

One of the features of Marvel Rivals is the “Team-Up Skills” mechanic, which allows players to combine the abilities of certain characters for a synergized move.

The trailer features Rocket Raccoon riding on Groot’s back while unleashing gunfire or the Hulk charging up Iron Man’s suit with Gamma energy. This mechanic adds more depth to the gameplay.

Unfortunately for those who are ready for everyone to gain access, there is no official Marval Rivals release date as of now.
