Marvel Rivals’ cast of heroes varies in difficulty, some of them taking hours to get the hang of. Among these is your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
With a playstyle involving high-risk melee combos, trick shots, and wide web swings, Spidey’s arsenal perfectly reflects his carefree attitude. But you can easily throw yourself off the map if you’re not careful.
Marvel Rivals Spider Tracers guide
One of his skills involves Spider Tracers, a tricky mechanic that many are learning due to a specific mission requiring you to land 10 of them.
This article explains how to trigger Spider Tracers in Marvel Rivals so you can make progress on your in-game missions.
What are Spider Tracers in Marvel Rivals?
Spider-Man has a lot of skills you need to learn, but only two of them mention Spider Tracers.
Firing a web cluster using Spidey’s ranged attack “Cyber-Web Cluster” puts a Spider Tracer on an enemy. This has five uses which recharge over time. Alternatively, Spider-Man’s ultimate ability also fires web clusters all around him, stunning opponents.
Targeting an enemy with a Spider Tracer enhances Spider-Man’s kit, giving him extra melee damage and changing the state of his “web pull” ability.
Enemies marked with a Spider Tracer have a small web symbol above their heads. Keep in mind that Spider-Tracers only last for 3 seconds – the same time it takes to get a Cyber-Web Cluster charge back.
How to trigger Spider Tracers
To trigger a Spider Tracer, do any of the following after you’ve hit someone with Spider-Man’s web cluster:
- Spider-Power (flying kick)
- Get Over Here!
- Amazing Combo
Isolate an enemy in their backline to pull off your combo and swing out of harm’s way before they have a chance to respond. Timing is important here, so do a few practice swings in the Practice Range before diving into some real matches.
With that, you should have everything you need to trigger Marvel Rivals Spider Tracers!
