Pokémon UNITE is celebrating its second anniversary with a huge update, including the release of Mega Mewtwo X.
Released on July 21, 2021, Pokémon UNITE has captivated Pokémon and MOBA enthusiasts for the last two years with thrilling, fast-paced Pokémon battles. Since then, the roster of playable Pokémon has quickly grown in size and continues to grow with the latest addition of Mega Mewtwo X, the newest playable legendary Pokémon added to the game.
It is the first Pokémon to Mega Evolve in Pokémon UNITE
Mega Mewtwo X is an All-Rounder type Pokémon that excels in soaking damage whilst in melee combat. After level six, it will periodically evolve whilst in combat and gain a temporary boost in stats. This is also the first Pokémon available to use Mega Evolution in Pokémon UNITE.

Play Pokémon UNITE to get Mega Mewtwo X for free!
Trainers can acquire this new Pokémon for free via the in-game event, Mewtwo’s Crystal Cave Challenge.
Roll the dice and complete challenges every day to advance through the Crystal Cave board and earn Cave Coins. Players can then redeem a free license for 100 Cave Coins from the Crystal Cave Exchange.
Alternatively, trainers can also spend Aeos Gems to acquire this new Pokémon quicker.
The Crystal Cave Challenge is only available until August 16, after which Mega Mewtwo X will need to be purchased via Aeos Gems or Aeos Coins.
