T1 has announced a significant change to its roster for the 2025 season. Top laner Zeus is parting ways with the organization, marking the end of the highly successful ZOFGK roster.
The news came as a surprise to many fans, especially after T1 secured contract renewals for Gumayusi, Keria, and Oner.
Zeus has become a free agent, and T1 has announced that he will be replaced by Choi “Doran” Hyeon, a former member of the now-disbanded Griffin esports team.
Prior to this announcement, Gumayusi expressed his desire to maintain the ZOFGK lineup during the Worlds 2024 Finals press conference.
“I just think we’ve made so many great memories on this roster, and I love everyone on the team,” Gumayusi said during the Worlds 2024 Finals press conference, as translated by content creator Ashley Kang. “Personally, I do think that we might be able to maintain this roster, but that can always change depending on the opinions of each individual and also the organization.”
While Zeus is no longer be a part of T1, fans can rest assured that Faker continues to lead the team. His contract with T1 is valid until November 17, 2025.

The legendary mid laner, who has been a cornerstone of T1 since 2013, has repeatedly expressed his commitment to the team.
Rumors of Faker’s retirement in 2025 have been swiftly dismissed by the player himself.
“Even if I win this year, this is not my last shot. I will keep on working hard and doing my best,” Faker stated during the Worlds 2024 Media Day, which took place before their victory over Bilibili Gaming in the Finals.
Faker began his professional League of Legends career with SK Telecom T1 K (also known as SK Telecom T1 2) in 2013. This team has since rebranded to T1. He has been a core part of the organization for over a decade, making him one of the longest-tenured professional esports players.
Throughout his illustrious career, Faker has amassed a staggering number of accolades. He has won a record-breaking five World Championship titles, solidifying his status as the most successful League of Legends player of all time.
