Netflix has announced a Stranger Things mobile game for iOS and Android that is part-Pokémon Go and part-80’s Saturday morning cartoon.
Scheduled for a 2020 launch, the game is being developed by Finnish studio, Next Games. Netflix describes it as a “location-based puzzle RPG”. The game will feature Google Maps integration that will let you explore the “Upside Down” (the creepy parallel universe from the show) around you. There will also be a multiplayer element that will let you co-op with other players.
The Stranger Things mobile game is part of Netflix’s new push into video games.
Netflix previously announced Stranger Things 3: The Game for consoles and PCs in December last year. The game will launch on July 4 alongside the third season of the show.
