What is cat game Nyaaaanvy about?
“Nyan” means “meow” in Japanese, hence the name of the game.
A physics-based indie title developed by Team Digital Mind and published by Phoenixx, think Fall Guys, fighting games, and survival of the cutest all in one.
Each “cat” is called a Nyanvy, which you can customize to your liking. They’re wiggly, and have their own buoyancy when they jump and wiggle around.
Nyaaaanvy gameplay
There are multiple maps available in single and multiplayer mode. Your goal? Be the last cat standing.
You achieve this by bouncing, jumping, and pushing other players off the platform — or let moving components of the map do the work for you. Once they fall off, it’s game over for that round.
Some maps contain moving objects, while others see crumbling platforms and dangerous bombs that could explode, decrease your HP, and send you flying.
In the online multiplayer mode, invite your friends or join other Nyanvies to increase the fun. Custom matches allow up to six players.
During the Tokyo Indie Games Summit 2024, FGC pros Chocoblanka, Fujimura, Jonny, and takera from Shinobuism Gaming demoed the newly released game on stage, showing how competitively fun it can be.
