Specializations in Once Human are extremely useful, as they can make things easier and better for you.
However, as you can only have 10 specializations equipped at the same time, you shouldn’t waste your points on the wrong ones.
Best Once Human specializations
In this ONE Esports guide, we’ll let you know what the Once Human best specializations are that you should prioritize.
Once Human best specializations list
You can find a list of the best Once Human specializations below.
Keep in mind that you can choose a specialization once every 5 levels. So, when you reach level 50, you’ll have 10 of them active.
Backpack Expansion (Unlocks at Level 10)
This is easily one of the Once Human best specializations. As the game is all about gathering resources, your backpack will get full at some point.
When this happens, you will no longer be able to collect more items until you discard or use the existing ones. However, with Backpack Expansion, you can increase your max load from 40 to 80 percent.
Thanks to this, your carrying capacity will increase, and you can loot the surroundings without any worries.
Portable Rainwater Collector (Unlocks at Level 15)
Hydration is a big part of Once Human, so you need to drink plenty of water throughout the day. However, this can get frustrating at one point, especially when you have more important things to do.
This is where the Portable Rainwater Collector specialization comes in. When it rains, it automatically restores your character’s hydration.
On top of that, there’s also a 30 to 60% chance for the specialization to automatically collect Dirty, Pure, or Acid water per minute for you.
Portable Fridge (Unlocks at Level 15)
The food you store in your backpack in Once Human can spoil pretty quickly. And there is nothing worse than collecting plenty of food, only to throw it away in the end.
However, once you unlock the Portable Fridge specialization, the food spoil rate will be reduced by 70 to 90%.
In other words, your food items will stay fresh for a longer period, making Portable Fridge one of the best Once Human specializations.
Pickaxe: Moonlight Mining (Unlocks at Level 10)
The Pickaxe is a pretty useful tool in Once Human, but what if you could make it even better?
This can be done by using the Moonlight Mining specialization. This grants you an extra 25% yield when mining Copper Ore, Tin Ore, Iron Ore, Aluminum Ore, and Tungsten Ore.
If you mine during the night, you’ll get 50% extra yield. So, it’s great for those who are always mining resources and that’s why it’s on our Once Human best specializations list.
Sulfur Chemist (Unlocks at Level 25)
If you’re always finding yourself running out of Acid in Once Human, then you may want to unlock the Sulfur Chemist specialization.
While there are different farming methods that can help you get plenty of Acid, there’s nothing better than creating your own.
Once unlocked, Sulfur Chemist will let you use Sulfur and Energy Link to create Acid at the Synthesis Bench.
If you’re finding it difficult to get Energy Links, we’d suggest unlocking the Combo Chipset specialization.
This one can help you transform resources such as Electronic Parts, Metal Scrap, and other parts into Combo Chipsets. These can then be sold for tons of Energy Links, which you can use to create Acid.
Silver Plasma Missiles
After you make significant progress in One Human, you’ll find yourself in front of enemies that won’t be easy to defeat.
This is where the Silver Plasma Missile comes in. This is a special type of ammunition for the Gatling Cannon, and it deals great damage with each hit.
The best part is that the missiles have a big blast radius, so enemies near your main target will also get damaged.
Harvesting Sickle (Unlocks at Level 10)
Crops play a big role in Once Human, and if you’re always gathering them from the wild, we’d recommend unlocking the Harvesting Sickle specialization.
With this unlocked, you have a 20% to 40% chance of doubling your crop yield when harvesting from the surroundings.
Stove: Long-Term Storage (Unlocks at Level 10)
This is yet another specialization on our list of Once Human best specializations that has something to do with food.
While Portable Fridge reduces the spoiling time of food in your backpack, Stove: Long-Term Storage will double the shelf life of the dishes you cook yourself
Again, thanks to this, you won’t have to worry about your efforts going to waste. However, this does not mean that you shouldn’t touch your food at all.
Precision Refining (Unlocks at Level 35)
It is not easy to gather resources in Once Human, so you need to find a way to reduce the resources needed to craft some items.
Well, the Precision Refining specialization can help you out with that. When unlocked, it will reduce the Furnace’s consumption by 30%.
However, this will also cause the smelting time to increase by 30% for Copper, Bronze, Steel, Aluminum, and Tungsten Ingots.
Solar Drill (Unlocks at Level 30)
If you’re always mining Gold Ore, Silver Ore, and Startrace Ore, then we’d recommend unlocking the Solar Drill specialization.
This drill charges on its own in sunlight (well its name already kind of suggests that). On top of that, there will always be a chance for you to get 15 to 40% extra yield while mining the three mentioned resources.
The best part? The Solar Drill comes with infinite durability, so you won’t have to worry about repairing it again and again.
