Kiari Kendrell “Offset” Cephus recently joined the famed esports organization FaZe Clan as one of its investors.
Although the details of Offset’s investment were not disclosed, FaZe stated that the two parties are building “a mutually beneficial partnership”. As FaZe is working towards a broader identity beyond gaming and esports, Offset is the perfect addition to their organization.
“Offset represents a new generation of cultural leaders who understand that shift,” said Lee Trink, CEO of FaZe Clan, in a press release.
The Migos member is a true gamer at heart, saying that he loves gaming and believes that esports is the future.
“These two facts make it only right that I be a part of the biggest esports organization with some of the best players in the world,” stated Offset.
Offset will be one of the latest esports advocates in the rap world, joining the ranks of Drake (100 Thieves) and Wiz Khalifa (Pittsburgh Knights). He will also be the second rap artist to join FaZe Clan, following Miles Parks “Lil Yachty” McCollum.
