Path of Exile 2 early access opens December 6, 2024, on all platforms. The ARPG sequel has evolved significantly since its announcement in 2019, whether it’s in terms of accessibility, gameplay fluidity, or visual fidelity.

PoE 2 is shaping up to be one of the best-looking ARPGs of all time, with vibrant photo-realistic environments and stunning lighting effects. Naturally, it means it will be a visually demanding game, especially compared to its decade-old predecessor.

Is Path of Exile 2 available on Gamepass?

As far as CPU and processor are concerned, however, it’s on the higher side of the aforementioned titles.

It’s worth noting that PoE 1 was a CPU-intensive title, so it’s no surprise that its sequel is taking a similar path. However, it’s nothing compared to the most CPU-intensive AAA title of 2024, Dragon’s Dogma 2, so you should be good.

Perhaps the most demanding aspect of Path of Exile 2’s early PC requirements is its gigantic 100 GB space requirement.

Most modern AAA live-service titles, like Fortnite, Destiny 2, and Call of Duty, require more than 100 GB of storage space, so this shouldn’t feel surprising.

That said, it’s for POE 2’s early access version, and its storage requirement could significantly increase in its 1.0 launch and beyond.
