Scavengers Fate is a new Precision Frame Void shotgun in Destiny 2. It’s been introduced in Act 2 of Episode Revenant, which also brought the reprised Prison of Elder activity.
This ONE Esports guide explains Scavengers Fate god roll in Destiny 2 for PvE and PvP activities.
Guide to Scavengers Fate god roll in Destiny 2
Scavengers Fate can roll with perks that work well in both PvE and PvP. Hence, if you’re running a Void or Prismatic build, this is a weapon worth grinding for.
Destiny 2 Scavengers Fate PvE god roll explained
In PvE, Scavengers Fate excels in applying void debuff to enemies and increasing survivability. It’s great for clearing ads and for taking down elites and bosses.
PERK TYPE | PERK NAME & DESCRIPTION |
Barrel | Smallbore: +7 Stability, +7 Range or, Corkscrew Rifling: +5 Stability, +5 Handling, +5 Range |
Magazine | Assault Mag: +5 Rounds Per Minute, +15 Stability |
Trait 1 | Repulsor Brace: Defeating a void-debuffed target grants an overshield. or, Dual Loader: Reloads an additional shot at a time. |
Trait 2 | Destabilizing Rounds: Final blows cause nearby targets to become volatile. |
Masterwork | Reload Speed / Range |
Origin Trait | Dark Ether Reaper: Final blows with this weapon periodically spawn Dark Ether charges.Charges can be detonated early with weapons fire or by coming into contact with them. Doing so refills this weapon from reserves. |
For Barrel, both Small Bore and Corkscrew Rifling are great options for improving Stability and Range. The latter also improves Handling, so choose accordingly.
Assault Mag can increase the fire rate, which is especially useful in Precision-Frame Shotguns. It also improves stability, so aiming and gunning shouldn’t feel repulsive with that extra fire rate.
In the third column, both Repulsor Brace and Dual Loader are excellent choices, but for different reasons. The former grants an overshield, which I found incredibly useful in challenging activities with hordes of red bar enemies.
However, if you’re using the Titan subclass, you can also get an overshield by equipping the No Backup Plans exotic gauntlet, making Dual Loader an easy pick.
Speaking of which, Dual Loader allows for a more aggressive approach by loading an extra round in the magazine. It’s more handy against elites or bosses.
For Masterwork, go with Range or Reload, as both are vital in PvE.
Destiny 2 Scavengers Fate PvP god roll explained
Scavengers Fate can roll with some of the most popular PvP perks in Destiny 2.
PERK TYPE | PERK NAME & DESCRIPTION |
Barrel | Barrel Shroud: +10 Stability, +10 Handling |
Magazine | Accurized Rounds: +10 Range |
Trait 1 | Lone Wolf: Slightly improves aim assist, aim down sights speed, and airborne effectiveness. Increases these effects when there are no nearby allies. or, Slideshot: Sliding partially reloads this weapon’s magazine and temporarily boosts range and stability. |
Trait 2 | Closing Time: Improves range, accuracy, and handling as the magazine gets lower. |
Masterwork | Range |
Origin Trait | Dark Ether Reaper: Final blows with this weapon periodically spawn Dark Ether charges.Charges can be detonated early with weapons fire or by coming into contact with them. Doing so refills this weapon from reserves. |
For Barrel, Full Choke may seem like the better option for reducing the pellet spread, but the precision damage penalty isn’t worth it unless you’re an exceptionally good PvP player.
Instead, I recommend Barrel Shroud to improve Stability and Handling.
For Magazine, Accurized Rounds is an easy choice for improving the Range.
In the third column, go with Lone Wolf or Slideshot. The latter is more popular in PvP as it can easily refill the magazine, but in the case of shotguns, I prefer Lone Wolf for improving ADS.
For Masterwork, Range is the best option since you probably won’t have time to reload the weapon.
