The Zenless Zone Zero 1.7 update themed “Bury Your Tears with the Past” concludes Sacrifice crisis and gives us more glimpses into Mockingbird’s mysterious history.
The finale to Season 1’s story, the Proxies delve into Vivian’s shadowed past and unravel the mysteries surrounding Hugo’s demise. Amidst the turmoil in New Eridu, a Void Hunter-rank special investigator, assigned by the Mayor, will join forces with Proxies to confront the encroaching darkness.
Following Hugo’s fall into the Hollow, the escalating tensions between Mockingbird and TOPS promise deeper secrets in this chapter. Partnering with Vivian, Proxies will infiltrate enemy territory to locate the Sacrifice Core, uncover her mysterious shared history with old acquaintances, and expose the Exaltists’ conspiracy.

In “Say It With Flowers,” players take on the role of a flower shop manager, creating beautiful bouquets for various customers. Completing these floral design requests will unlock a permanent interactive floral arrangement feature for Quality Time mode, along with exclusive rewards such as the A-Rank Bangboo Overtimeboo.
Bangboo Bash is back with the addition of a ranked mode. Proxies can now compete in obstacle and survival challenges, earning points based on their final placement and rank achieved. Climbing the leaderboards will grant players exclusive event titles, Polychromes, and other rewards.

Phase 1 – Soar into the Gentle Night
Vivian, an Ether Anomaly Agent, gracefully maneuvers across the battlefield with a parasol and rapier, fluidly transitioning between ground and air combat.
Her Basic Attack, Featherbloom, enhances Anomaly damage and synergizes with allies’ EX Special Attacks to increase the team’s Corruption damage.

Phase 2 – As Yesterday Dies
Hugo, an Ice Attack Agent, wields a transforming suitcase that becomes a sharp scythe, slicing through enemies with focused slashes and wide area attacks.
By striking stunned enemies, Hugo can activate the Totalize effect, significantly increasing his damage output based on their remaining stun time.
