SEGA has announced a sub-publishing agreement with NatsumeAtari to bring the physical edition of the widely acclaimed Shadow of the Ninja game to the Japanese and Asian market under a new name: Shadow of the Ninja Reborn.
This re-release of the classic 1990 game has been optimized for next-gen consoles.

Shadow of the Ninja, originally released as KAGE ~ Shadow of the Ninja, is a renowned ninja-themed side-scrolling action game developed by Natsume.
Launched on August 10, 1990, for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), it became popular for its tight controls, and innovative gameplay mechanics, including hanging and climbing actions, meticulously designed levels, and an adrenaline-pumping soundtrack.
Now, after 34 years, this classic game is being remastered by the original development team, offering players a chance to relive the excitement of one of the most beloved titles in the action game genre.

Shadow of the Ninja Reborn retains its iconic 16-bit retro art style while enhancing visuals with finer details and richer content.
Players can unleash their ninja skills solo or team up with an ally in its acclaimed co-op mode, taking on the role of either a ninja or a kunoichi to confront formidable foes.
Iku Mizutani, the composer behind the original Shadow of the Ninja, as well as Shatterhand and the Medabots series, returns to score the music for Shadow of the Ninja Reborn.
