Sony and the United Nations have announced a new initiative called Playing for the Planet, which will survey the impact of video games on the Earth.
As part of the initiative, Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO, Jim Ryan, has promised to reduce the power consumption of Sony’s gaming products, particularly the PlayStation.
“I am very pleased to announce the next-generation PlayStation console will include the possibility to suspend gameplay with much lower power consumption than PS4,” said Ryan.
