Best Space Marine 2 classes
Selecting which class to play with in Space Marine 2 is more difficult than battling the hordes of aliens and leading a battle in space. Every time you look at a class, you will find something that you might find helpful in battle.
Space Marine 2 class tier list
Our Space Marine 2 class tier list heavily focuses on Class Perk and equipable weapons while focusing on how versatile the class is in tackling the PvE (Operations) and the PvP (Eternal War) content.
With that said, we have categorized the classes into three tiers:
- S-tier: Highly versatile classes, have a useful Class Perk, and more or great Primary weapons at disposal.
- A-tier: Classes that are good in teams, handling hordes, come with good Class Perks, and have access to decent weapons
- B-tier: The classes in this tier are suitable but are more suited for a particular role and fail to be as efficient as the classes in the S and A tiers. However, in good hands, even these classes can outperform the others.

Tactical is one of the best, if not the best, classes in the entire game for both PvP and PvE content, as it comes with a unique Class Perk called Auspex Scan that marks enemies and their weak points. Moreover, it is the only class in the game with access to most Primary Weapons.
The Bulwark, on the other hand, is the Tank/Support class that every team must have to increase your and your squad’s survivability. While in PvP, a class like Sniper is better than Bulwark, overall, it is a great class, sitting in the S-tier.
The Assault is a highly mobile class, all thanks to its Class Perk Jump Pack. While many players might rank it in at least A-tier, for us, not being able to equip a Primary Weapon and the reliance on the Secondary Weapon for ranged engagement, made us put it in the B-tier.
But if you are looking to create a pure Melee build with huge AoE damage, the Assault Class is the right pick for you.
The Vanguard is a great class that offers a mix of mobility and damage-dealing capability. The Class Perk Grapnel Launcher allows players to propel themselves to an enemy and perform a diving kick attack. In contrast, access to various ranged weapons makes it efficient in ranged battles.
The Sniper is an S-tier Class for Eternal War (PvP) game mode, but for Operations (PvE), it just fails to deliver. The Camo Cloak Class Perk allows players to become invisible until their next attack.
Moreover, access to weapons like the Bolt Sniper Rifle and Stalker Bolt Rifle makes it a deadly class for long-range battles and for providing cover to teammates. This is why it falls into B-tier in our overall Space Marine 2 class tier list.
The Heavy Class sits in the A-tier because of its support capability in both PvP and PvE. Thanks to the Iron Halo Class Perk, you can deploy a powerful barrier, blocking all ranged attacks.
The high Armor Rating allows it to tank attacks, and the access to heavy weapons like the Heavy Bolter, Multi-Melta, and others makes it a great damage dealer.
