If you thought Spectre Divide was cut-throat, wait till you dive into its ranked mode, which went live on August 20.
Spectre Divide ranked mode works similarly to competitor titles with a few exceptions. Here’s all you need to know about all Spectre Divide ranks and how they work.
Recently, Mountaintop upgraded the virtual sports in Breakwaters from casual to ranked. Instead of mindlessly battling through the maps, players will now be able to keep track of their progress with rank badges. These badges can be earned by playing Spectre Divide ranked mode.
How does Spectre Divide ranked mode work?
Spectre Divide ranked mode has two separate ranks for team stacks and solo lobby. Each rank has four divisions, and players must earn a Santai Rating to climb the divisions.
200 SR is required to get to the next division, and players are granted 50 SR as a bonus after each rank upgrade.
This means your individual progress will be reflected separately from team progress. However, the lobby leader can select whether the SR gained goes towards team or solo rank.
Spectre Divide ranked mode is based on the win-by-two scenarios. That means there’s no overtime. The game will keep going if teams keep trading rounds.
What are all the Spectre Divide ranks?
Spectre Divide solo ranks are eight, with four divisions each. Here are Spectre Divide ranks in solo mode:
- Bronze
- Silver
- Gold
- Platinum
- Emerald
- Ruby
- Diamond
- Champion
There are nine ranks for team mode:
- Undiscovered
- Prospect
- Talent
- Professional
- Elite
- International
- Superstar
- World Class
- Champion
You need 200 SRs for each division to get to a new rank. However, this system doesn’t apply to Champion rank, which has no cap. As you keep winning, you’ll keep gaining SR. If a player loses enough games, they can also get demoted.
How to unlock Spectre Divide ranked mode
Spectre Divide ranked mode will be unlocked by playing a certain number of casual games.
To determine your initial rank, complete five placement matches at the start of your ranked journey. Note that this process repeats for each new team you join, as team rank requires separate placement matches to establish your starting rank.
